Frequently Asked Questions
Here you can find answers about automation, ways of working, technologies, web applications, mobile solutions, and post-launch support.
How quickly do you respond?
I usually respond within one calendar day, including Saturdays and Sundays.
How does work on a task begin?
First, you briefly describe the task, the current process, and the desired result. I then clarify the details, assess possible implementation options, and suggest the next steps.
What do I need to provide for a preliminary estimate?
Usually, a task description, a sample file or data structure, screenshots, or a brief explanation of the current process is enough. More complex tasks may require additional materials or test data.
What if I do not know which tool is best for my task?
That is completely fine. You do not need to decide in advance whether the solution should use Excel, Power BI, Google Sheets, a web application, or another tool. The task is defined first, and the technology is selected afterward.
Can you first analyze the process and suggest automation options?
Yes. I can review the current process, identify manual or repetitive operations, and propose one or more automation options.
Is every process worth automating?
No. If automation would be more complex, more expensive, or less convenient than the manual process itself, I will say so. Sometimes it is enough to improve the data structure, a formula, or one specific step in the workflow.
Can the solution be adapted to my business?
Yes. The solution is configured around the specific process, data structure, business rules, users, and technical constraints.
Can I order only part of the work?
Yes. It can be an audit, a single formula, macro, script, dashboard, integration, module, or a specific stage of a larger project.
Can we work in stages?
Yes. A larger project can be divided into separate stages, each with its own result, testing, and payment.
Can we start with a prototype or MVP?
Yes. For a complex or new task, it is often useful to build a limited version first, validate the logic in practice, and then expand the solution.
Do you take urgent tasks?
Urgent tasks are possible depending on current workload, complexity, and the required deadline. It is best to mention the urgency at the first contact.
How much do your services cost?
The cost depends on the complexity, scope, and format of the work. A preliminary estimate is prepared after the task is clarified. Current rates and terms are listed on the Pricing page.
How is the preliminary estimate calculated?
The estimate takes into account the scope of work, logic complexity, number of integrations, condition of the source data, testing needs, documentation, and other technical factors.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. The first short discussion of the task and its general context is free of charge. Detailed analysis, solution design, or implementation may be a separate paid service.
How does payment work?
The payment format depends on the size and duration of the task. Small jobs can be paid as individual assignments, while larger projects can be paid in stages or according to an agreed scope of work.
Is a prepayment required?
It depends on the specific project, its scope, and the cooperation format. Payment terms are agreed before work begins.
What happens if the requirements change during the project?
First, I assess how the change affects the work already completed, the timeline, and the project scope. If the change is significant, the additional scope is agreed separately before implementation.
Can I stop the project after a separate stage is completed?
Yes, if the work is organized in stages. A completed and paid stage can remain a standalone result where technically possible.
Do I need a separate subscription to use the solution?
Not always. Some solutions work without additional subscriptions, but Microsoft, Google, hosting providers, APIs, or third-party services may have their own paid plans.
What additional costs may arise besides development?
These may include Microsoft 365 or Power BI licenses, hosting, a domain, paid APIs, third-party services, increased limits, or other external infrastructure. If such costs are required, they are agreed separately.
Which tools do you work with?
My main tools include Excel, VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Telegram Bot API, and integrations with external APIs.
How do I know which tool is best for my task?
The choice depends on where the data is stored, who will use the solution, which calculations and automations are required, what access rules apply, and how the solution will be used. The tool is selected for the task, not the other way around.
Can reports be generated automatically?
Yes. Data collection, processing, validation, consolidation, calculations, and final report generation can all be automated.
Can data be refreshed automatically?
Yes. Depending on the technology, updates can run on a schedule, by button, by event, or under another agreed condition.
Can regular updates be scheduled?
Yes. Updates can run hourly, daily, weekly, or according to another schedule if the selected platform supports it.
Do you work with large data volumes?
Yes, within the technical capabilities of Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, and the other tools being used. I currently do not work with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark.
Do you create dashboards?
Yes. Dashboards can include KPIs, charts, filters, plan-vs-actual analysis, drill-downs, and other interactive elements.
Do you create calculators in Excel?
Yes. They can include formulas, conditions, validations, reference tables, scenarios, and automatic result generation.
Do you create financial models?
Yes. For example, models for budgeting, forecasting, plan-vs-actual analysis, scenario calculations, and other tasks where the logic can be clearly formalized.
Do you work with Power BI Service?
Yes. I can work with report publishing, access management, refresh, and report usage in Power BI Service.
Do you work with Microsoft 365?
Yes. Depending on the task, the solution can use Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 components.
Do you develop in Python or R?
My main focus is Excel, Power BI, Google Apps Script, JavaScript, and web interfaces. I can use Python as a supporting tool when it is justified by a specific task. R is not a primary area of my work.
Can different data sources be integrated?
Yes. Depending on the system, these may include APIs, CRM, ERP, Google Drive, Excel, CSV, Google Sheets, databases, and other accessible sources.
Can you pull data from Zoho, HubSpot, or other CRM systems?
Yes, if the system provides an accessible API or another technical integration method and the client can provide the required access rights.
Can the solution be integrated with Google Forms?
Yes. Google Forms can serve as a data source for calculations, requests, notifications, reports, and other automations.
Do you work with Google Drive and files?
Yes. Folder creation, copying, renaming, archiving files, generating links, and certain access-related operations can be automated.
Can the solution integrate with Telegram, Slack, or other messengers?
Yes, if the platform provides a suitable API, webhooks, or another available integration mechanism.
Can website requests be sent directly to Telegram or email?
Yes. Form data can be sent to Telegram, email, Google Sheets, or several channels at the same time.
Can you automate email sending?
Yes. Automatic message creation and sending can be implemented through suitable services or APIs, depending on the task and platform.
Can you automatically process PDFs, invoices, or bank statements?
Yes, if the required data can be extracted from the document reliably. Values can be extracted, cleaned, validated, matched, and written to spreadsheets or other systems. Accuracy and the processing method depend on the document structure.
What happens if a third-party API or service changes its rules?
External services may change their APIs, authorization methods, pricing, limits, or other rules. In that case, the integration may require adaptation or further development.
Do you develop web applications?
Yes. I build web interfaces for working with spreadsheets, forms, files, photos, links, internal processes, and other business data.
Can you create a website or improve an existing one?
Yes. I can improve HTML/CSS/JavaScript websites, forms, responsive interfaces, analytics, and integrations. The main focus is functional business websites and web interfaces rather than complex design-driven web development.
Can a web application be used on a smartphone?
Yes. The interface can be adapted for smartphones and tablets, including navigation, buttons, forms, search, and other elements.
Do you create Android applications?
My main focus is mobile web applications and PWAs that work on Android through a browser and can be added to the home screen. Full native Android development for Google Play is not my primary specialization.
Can a web application be installed like a separate app?
Yes, if the solution supports PWA functionality. In that case, it can be added to the home screen and opened separately from a regular browser tab.
Can you create a Telegram bot?
Yes. A bot can receive commands, messages, and files, create reminders, forward requests, work with buttons, and launch automated actions.
Can you build a reminder system?
Yes. Reminders can be sent via Telegram or email based on date, time, status, or another agreed condition.
Do you create interactive forms?
Yes. Forms can include validation, conditional logic, calculations, selection lists, file uploads, and automatic data submission.
Can website forms be protected from bots and spam?
Yes. Depending on the solution, protection can include CAPTCHA or Turnstile, server-side verification, rate limiting, data validation, and other methods.
How is my data protected?
Access is requested only to the data and systems required for the specific work. Keys, tokens, and other secret parameters should not be stored in publicly accessible code. Test data, limited access rights, and an NDA can be used where appropriate.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. An NDA can be signed at the client's request.
Can we work without sharing real confidential data?
Yes, if the task allows it. Development and testing can use test, modified, or anonymized data with the same structure.
Can you implement access control?
Yes. Depending on the platform, access can be restricted to files, pages, functions, actions, or specific parts of the system.
Can you add user authentication?
Yes. Authentication can be implemented through Google or another available mechanism, including checks for approved accounts and user roles.
Will you retain access to my data or systems after the project is completed?
Any need for continued access is agreed separately. If access is no longer required, it can be revoked, and keys, passwords, or tokens can be changed after the work is completed.
Do you take corporate standards into account?
Yes. Corporate colors, logos, terminology, access rules, data structure, and internal requirements can be incorporated.
Can you help with control reports and data validation?
Yes. I can create validation checks, discrepancy reports, change logs, statuses, and other tools for monitoring data and process quality.
What do I receive after the work is completed?
It depends on the project format. The deliverable may be a finished Excel file, Google Sheet, Power BI report, web application, script, source code, instructions, or another agreed result.
Will I have access to the code, formulas, and solution logic?
Yes, unless agreed otherwise. For solutions transferred to the client, access to formulas, scripts, and working logic generally remains with the client.
Will I be able to edit or maintain the solution myself?
Yes, if the technology and access rights allow it. If needed, I can also prepare instructions or explain the solution structure.
Who owns the solution after the work is completed?
This is defined by the terms of the specific project and the agreed handoff scope. Files, code, scripts, documentation, or other materials included in the agreed deliverable are transferred to the client under the agreed terms. Rights to third-party libraries, services, platforms, and other external components remain subject to their own licenses and rules.
Will the finished solution depend on you in the future?
The goal is to avoid creating artificial dependency. If the solution can technically operate independently, it should continue working without my permanent involvement. External services, APIs, or infrastructure may be exceptions because they can require separate maintenance.
Do I need to install anything on my computer?
In many cases, no. Google Workspace, web applications, and some other solutions work in a browser. Certain Excel solutions may require a suitable version of Microsoft Excel.
Do your solutions work on macOS?
It depends on the technology. Web applications and Google Workspace generally do not depend on the operating system. Excel VBA on Mac may have technical limitations.
Can the solution support several interface languages?
Yes. Ukrainian, English, Russian, or other languages can be implemented if required by the project.
How long does development take?
The timeline depends on the scope, complexity, readiness of the source data, and the speed of approving details. Small tasks can be completed quickly, while complex projects may be delivered in stages over a longer period.
How is the solution tested?
Before handoff, the core logic, typical use scenarios, and critical errors are checked. For complex solutions, testing can be performed in stages together with the client using test or real-world scenarios.
What happens if an error is found after launch?
If the issue relates to agreed and implemented logic, its cause is analyzed and the correction approach is determined. New requirements or changes to business logic are handled separately from bug fixes.
Can I get support after the project is completed?
Yes. Post-launch support, correction of identified issues, consultations, and further improvements are available under agreed terms.
Can the finished solution be expanded later?
Yes, if the architecture and technology allow it. New functions, modules, reports, or integrations can be added as separate stages.
Do you prepare user instructions?
Yes. If needed, this can be a written guide, diagram, short video, or technical description.
Do you provide training on the finished solution?
Yes. For more complex solutions, I can provide a short explanation or user training session.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Most tasks and projects can be completed entirely online.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. Remote cooperation with clients from other countries is possible.
Do you use ready-made templates?
The core logic is built for the specific task. Certain proven technical components may be reused when appropriate and when doing so does not create security or quality issues.
Do you use artificial intelligence?
Yes, as a supporting tool in my work. Solution architecture, business logic, validation, testing, and final decisions should not rely solely on automatically generated output.
Can I see examples of implemented solutions?
Yes. The Solutions page includes demonstration cases with examples of implemented tasks. For a specific task, we can also discuss a relevant example or prototype where appropriate and where doing so does not compromise another client’s confidentiality.
